JOSHUA BLISS
Founder and Director of Gateway Capital Management
Josh has lived in the valley for over 18 years. He is proud of his Arizona education as a graduate of the University of Arizona with a B.S and a Master’s degree from San Diego State University.
Josh’s career spans 18 years in the valley with both wealth management experience and financial services. Josh started out his career employed as a Financial Advisor at a leading estate planning firm in California. He then went on to manage 14 Financial Advisors throughout the state of California prior to his relocation to Scottsdale AZ. Josh joined Merrill Lynch and went on to develop a successful practice at Wells Fargo Advisors managing a $100 million practice for his clients. After honing his skills at the large investment firms and banks, he felt passionate about starting his own practice, Gateway Capital Management, in 2019. His goal was to start his own firm which allowed him to focus on exceptional customer service, customizing tailored made portfolios for his clients, lowering fees, and securing a niche smaller clientele. Josh moved Gateway Capital Management under Balboa Wealth Partners in 2024 as the fiduciary structure of an RIA better aligned with the way he manages wealth for his clients.
Josh loves spending time with his two beautiful daughters, his beloved dogs, and climbing epic mountains. Summits he has climbed include Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, Mount Aconcagua in Argentina, Everest Basecamp in Nepal, and Mt Rainier in Washinton He loves giving back to his community and is currently involved with the Men’s Group of St Patrick’s Church whose service projects assist the disadvantaged in our community by partnering with Adopt-A-Family, St. Joseph the Worker and St. Vincent de Paul
